Stride Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

Stride collects the following information:

• Step count data — read from Apple Health (iOS) or Health Connect (Android). The app requests read-only access to step counts. It does not read any other health data types, and it never writes data to Apple Health or Health Connect.
• Account information — you sign in with your Union Agener Microsoft account through GATE, Union Agener’s sign-in service. Stride stores your Microsoft (Entra) profile ID and your display name. There are no anonymous accounts.
• Profile photo — your avatar.
• Activity data — daily step totals, along with estimated distance and calories derived from your step count.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used solely for:

• Displaying your personal step progress, history, and daily goals
• Populating individual and team leaderboards visible to other app users
• Enabling team formation, challenges, and friendly competitions
• Tracking your virtual journey progress based on cumulative steps

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties. Your data is never used for advertising, marketing, analytics profiling, or any purpose beyond the core functionality of the app.

3. Apple Health & Health Connect Data

Stride integrates with Apple Health (iOS) and Health Connect (Android) to read your step count. In compliance with Apple and Google policies:

• We only request read access to step count data — no other health categories are accessed.
• We never write data to Apple Health or Health Connect.
• Health data is used exclusively to power the app’s step tracking and leaderboard features.
• Health data is not shared with third parties, used for advertising, or transferred to data brokers.
• You can revoke health data access at any time through your device’s Settings > Health (iOS) or Settings > Health Connect (Android).

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in a secure, cloud-hosted database. All data transmitted between the app and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. Access to the database is restricted to authorized backend services using role-based credentials.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

Your data is retained for as long as your account exists. You may delete your Stride data at any time from within the app:

• Navigate to Profile > Account > Delete my Stride data
• Confirm the deletion when prompted

Deletion is immediate and permanent. All of your Stride data — your profile, step history, team memberships, and challenge participation records — is removed from our systems. This action cannot be undone.

6. Data Sharing

Your step totals and display name are visible to other Stride users on leaderboards and within teams. Beyond this in-app visibility:

• We do not share your data with external third parties
• We do not use third-party analytics or tracking SDKs
• We do not serve advertisements

7. Distribution

Stride is an internal app for Union Agener employees. It is distributed through Google Play and, as an unlisted app, the Apple App Store. A Union Agener Microsoft account is required to sign in.

8. Children’s Privacy

Stride is intended for use by adult employees only. We do not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
